The audit main window

When you start the function, your computer browser is displayed. If a previous Audit report is available you can access it through the Report button. The number of backup sets is indicated. By default the Don't check file selection item is checked : files excluded by extension (e.g. *.tmp) are ignored and let as backed up. When this option is unchecked the process time can be very long (each file is compared with each mask included in the backup set). Please note : excluded files or folders designed by a full name are processed.

Click the Start button to launch the Audit.

All folders and files included in a backup set are checked. A report is available.

Audit report

For each backup set, the Audit function checks :
·the availability of each folder or file included in the backup set
·the availability of each folder or file excluded in the backup set
·the availability of the destination folder
·if the backup set is scheduled.

The report indicates when each backup set has been executed, and indicates if the registry is saved.

To return to the browser click the Report button again.

To exit the function click the Back button on the toolbar.

Please note, the Audit function concerns only the backup sets and not the synchronization scripts
